10 Times Egos Ruined Great Wrestling Partnerships

10. Chris Jericho And Christian

At one point, Chris Jericho and Christian were the closest of tag team partners. Former champions who defeated the likes of the Dudley Boyz, Booker T and Goldust and the Hurricane and Kane to reign supreme over the Raw brand, they were the elite of elite when it came to heel tandems. By late 2003, though, Jericho's budding relationship with Trish Stratus began fracturing their once unbreakable bond. Christian grew jealous, his ego wounded by the reality that his best friend would rather spend time with the voluptuous blonde Diva than him. It ate away at Captain Charisma and every passing week, it became more and more apparent that he was not willing to sit back and allow the petite former Women's Champion to come between he and his buddy. Christian assaulted Trish and, in the process, dissolved his relationship with Jericho as well. Their intense rivalry came to a head at WrestleMania XX, when Jericho found out the hard way that his prospective love and former partner had been hooking up behind his back all along. Worse still, he lost the match to Christian as well after taking being slapped in the face by his former flame. One enormous ego (and a smoking hot WWE Diva) came between the two best friends and ruined a championship-winning partnership forever.
