10 Times Hulk Hogan Was The Worst Babyface Ever

7. Using The Urn's Ashes - This Tuesday In Texas

As a one-off show, 1991's This Tuesday in Texas was a fun event that is likely best remembered for the return to action of Randy Savage and for its main event WWF Championship match. Away from in-ring happenings, This Tuesday in Texas was actually Vince McMahon's way of branching out to test the waters for Tuesday night PPVs.

The 1.0 PPV buyrate for the show was a major disappointment for McMahon and company higher-ups, and the aforementioned WWF Championship match similarly led to eventual disappointment for Hulkamaniacs.

After Ric Flair interfered to help The Undertaker defeat Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship at the previous week's Survivor Series, President Jack Tunney set a rematch for the December 3 Tuesday spectacular from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.

Once more, Flair and a steel chair would have involvement in this championship bout, but Hulk not only laid The Nature Boy out with said chair, but he followed that up by throwing the urn's ashes into the eyes of The Undertaker before rolling him up for the pinfall victory.

At this time in company history, the all-heroic figure that Hulk Hogan was depicted as should've been way, way above using a weapon, let alone the contents of the urn, to get the W. But then again, this was Hulk Hogan - and this was yet another example of his questionable babyface actions.

The very next week, Jack Tunney would declare the WWF Championship vacant and put the gold on the line for the winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble match. And with a tear in his eye, you had to be fair to Flair as Naitch came out as the WWF Champ in that 30-man contest.
