10 Times Hulk Hogan Was The Worst Babyface Ever

2. Trials And Tribulations - The Real Life Of Terry Bollea

The crux of this piece is all about Hulk Hogan 'the character', rather than Terry Bollea 'the man'. Yet it's kinda hard to do a feature like this and not address some of the very real misdemeanours of arguably the greatest star the professional wrestling business has ever seen.

Not taking the Richard Belzer situation into account - TV host Belzer badgering Hogan to put him in a wrestling hold, then suing Hulk after being put to sleep in a guillotine choke - the first real act of controversy for The Hulkster came with the infamous steroid trial of 1994.

There, under oath and with immunity from prosecution, Bollea admitted that he had been taking steroids since 1976. Of course, Hulk wasn't the first or last major babyface to use steroids, and his testimony that Vince McMahon never encouraged him to hit the juice was a pivotal part of McMahon avoiding jail. Still, this wasn't a good public look for the poster boy of pro wrestling at that time.

It was 2012 when things took an even more bizarre, then offensive turn for Terry Bollea and the legacy of Hulk Hogan. Like an unwanted RKO, a Hogan sex tape suddenly appeared out of nowhere - with Hulk making sure that Bubba the Love Sponge's wife was taking her vitamins, saying her prayers, and training hard.

As mentioned, that sex tape with a close friend's wife was a little nuts, yet the footage on this tape saw Hogan using racial slurs. And then subsequent recordings again saw Hogan using racist language, before he himself admitted to being "a racist, to a point."

All of this saw Hogan shamed out of WWE for a spell, and we bizarrely saw a court case where it was revealed that Hulk Hogan has a ten-inch penis, yet Terry Bollea does not.
