For a long while, John Cena was essentially regarded as Daniel Bryan's antithesis, one of them a heavily produced corporate shill, and the other an unpolished indie star who lived to entertain the fans. Their feud in 2013, then, was always going to generate some buzz, and the pay-off match at SummerSlam was a more than worthy climax.

The mismatch of wrestling styles was obvious from the outset, but it made for fascinating viewing as two men famed for winning matches via submission searched for an opening to lock in their respective holds. Triple H was the guest referee, but he called it right down the middle (until after the final bell, that is), and oh yeah: Bryan won - clean as a whistle.
