Kane was in crazy heel masked man mode in early 2012 when he found his storyline father Paul Bearer in a freezer. Bearer was actually placed in a freezer by Randy Orton. Bearer was tied up in a wheelchair and pretty much helpless. Even though it was filmed and shown on a live television show, nobody chose to help Bearer. That's "sports entertainment" for ya. Later in the show, Kane showed up to save his father or at least that's what it looked like. When Bearer excitedly asked Kane if he was there to save him, Kane said that he was there to save Paul from...Kane. In other words, Kane intentionally put his dad back in a freezer while he was tied to a chair. It was never followed up on that well, but we are to assume that Bearer did get out okay at some point. https://youtu.be/o4T_5Y3Ch2A That was actually the last time Bearer was on WWE TV before his death less than a year later.
