This was when Kane was a crazy heel without the mask on his face and Shane was in the babyface role. After a surprise attack by Kane where he attacked Shane from behind, he did something we had never seen before. Kane put handcuffs on Shane's hands, then tied him to the ring post and used the ring steps to trap Shane's legs to the post. Kane also poured water on Shane's body, specifically "down there" too. Next up were jumper cables and then a battery. Leave it to the great Jim Ross to summarize it for us: "Kane is attaching the jumper cables...and I hate to say it....to Shane McMahon's testicles." Moments later, Kane was electrocuting the testicles of Shane McMahon. It was one of those things where fans watching at home were left to think: "What the hell was that all about?" That was the only time we've ever seen something like that as they took things to a place we didn't think was possible. It was definitely a different form of violence. Following the torture of Shane, Rob Van Dam came out for the save with a steel chair attack on Kane.
