10 Times Promoters Sided With A Wrestler The Locker Room Hated

9. The Outsiders

While many were clearly happy to jump on the nWo coattails of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, their presence in WCW massively split the locker room for various reasons.

Firstly, the massive contracts that Nash and Hall had clearly irked some. Throw in the famed 'favoured nations' clause that triggered countless pay rises when other stars signed with the promotion, and that's enough to create plenty of jealousy amongst your peers. Added to that, in Nash's case, he was handed the Big Lazy moniker due to his, at times, rather minimalistic approach to what should and shouldn't be done in a match.

On top of the financials and in-ring work issues that their co-workers took umbrage with, it didn't exactly help matters when the Outsiders were known - much like fellow nWo co-founder Hulk Hogan - for playing politics and using their sway to take the legs out from underneath any rising talent they didn't like the look of. Even then, that's not taking into account those rumblings of Big Sexy booking himself to be the one to end Goldberg's run of dominance.

With Eric Bischoff allowing Nash and Hall's behaviour to go unchecked during that time, the morale of so many WCW talents was regularly left in the gutter - with the former Diesel and Razor Ramon often cited as being key parts in the eventual fall of Ted Turner's rasslin' promotion.
