10 Times Randy Orton Broke Character
7. Getting Down With The New Day
Randy Orton must be getting soft, because in May 2015, happy-go-lucky Orton had morphed into power-of-positivity Orton, thanks in no small part to the New Day.
During an in-ring promo with Roman Reigns, tensions looked close to spilling over, at which point Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods made their impromptu arrival on stage.
Now, once upon a time, Orton may not have received this so well, or maybe the New Day just caught him on a good day. Either way, Orton couldn’t help but break out into a little jig as the faction’s music filled the arena.
Not only that, but after having himself a little jive, Orton got involved with the audience’s "New Day sucks" chants, becoming the unofficial ring leader and clapping along with the Montreal crowd. He even cracked a smile when Big E ribbed him about Rollins not only having his number, but having the thing on speed dial. Burn.
Cracking smiles and breaking out into dance—somewhere mid-2000s Orton is rolling over in his proverbial grave.
