10 Times Randy Orton Broke Character

8. Announce Table Stumble

Another minor botch courtesy of Orton here, although admittedly this one was in no way his fault. Plus, this time he at least saw the funny side, despite seeming to be in a fair bit of pain.

On the 22 July 2011 showing of SmackDown, Orton found himself on the receiving end of Kane’s attempt at a chokeslam through the announce table. He probably thought he was in the clear when he foiled Kane by landing on the table upright, but an unfortunate foot placement saw his leg slide right the way through one of the holes in the table, causing him to take an awkward-looking tumble.

What really saved Orton, though, was his reaction.

He got straight back to his feet and bellowed out a cackle, wagging a finger at the crowd to prove that everything was all good. Except, it wasn’t. Despite his best efforts, Orton’s smile was soon wiped from his face and replaced with a grimace as he clutched his knee and was forced to take a breather on the apron.

Luckily, he was fine in the end, and thankfully the hurling-abuse-at-Kofi Orton had been replaced by happy-go-lucky Orton.
