10 Times Really Weird S*it Happened At WrestleMania

7. "Pete Rose Just Got Tombstoned!"

WWE.com

When WWE announced Major League Baseball's all-time hit leader Pete Rose to appear at WrestleMania XIV, nobody could have predicted what would occur; it sounded like normal celebrity involvement at WrestleMania. He'd probably show-up and do some awkward interview or some backstage skit with midcard talent.

When he came out to do the ring introductions for The Undertaker vs. Kane match and ran down the Red Sox, things took a swerve into pro-wrestling history. Kane, at the peak of his most demonic and evil power, walked down to ring and proceeded to drop Pete Rose on his head with a tombstone, causing the Boston crowd and Jim Ross to go nuts. It was one of Kane's biggest pops in his career.

In spite of how downright insane it was to see legendary celebrity Pete Rose dropped on his head by a devilish monster, the moment went over so well with people and the media that they repeated the angle the next year at 'Mania XV in Philadelphia, and yet again at WrestleMania 2000. For this alone, Pete Rose went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
