10 Times Shane McMahon's Ego Ran Wild In WWE

5. The Mean Street Posse

This was a case of nepotism piled upon nepotism. For all his good qualities and genuine talents, it’s undeniable that, were his last name not McMahon, Shane would have had at least a harder time breaking into WWE. And if their best pal’s last name weren’t McMahon, then you’d definitely never have heard of Pete Gas and Rodney.

The Mean Street Posse - two of Shane’s real life childhood pals plus ringer Joey Abs - were hired as backup for the prodigal son, and by sheer luck managed to rack up a hefty number of TV appearances. They interfered in some prominent events, and each have a Hardcore Championship win to their name (albiet an extremely brief one in every case).

None of them were totally inept - Abs especially had a solid career behind him - but once their association with Shane was over, they were shown the door quickly enough.

If we had the chance to get our close mates cushy jobs we’d probably do it too, but most of us don’t have the sway to get our childhood pals on an actual WrestleMania card.
