10 Times Shane McMahon's Ego Ran Wild In WWE

6. Beating The Miz

In between chunks of his feud with KO, Shane decided he needed something else to keep him on TV, and began a programme with The Miz. In fairness, this made a little more sense, as Miz didn’t have a lot else to do, and the two bounced well off each other. But unsurprisingly, this led to yet another WrestleMania match for McMahon (making this four in a row).

What’s more - Shane actually won this match! It was a perfectly fine falls count anywhere brawl, with Shane taking the win by pure happenstance, landing atop his downed opponent after a Miz superplex from some scaffolding, but it’s hard to see the sense in this.

Rather than allowing Miz to take a dominant win, give himself a little boost, and put this feud to bed, this was another tick in Shane’s wins column. They’d go on to fight at Money In The Bank where, once again, Shane picked up the victory.

In both instances, the matches are allowed to go for some while (in MITB’s case, their match is almost as long as both women’s world title bouts). It’s not hard to work out why.
