10 Times Real Sports Stars Gatecrashed WWE

4. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Of course, no conversation about boxing and wrestling would be complete without the mention of Floyd Mayweather Jr. The undefeated boxing star was signed to a brief deal for WrestleMania XXIV, which saw him take on the Big Show in one of the most high-profile, inter-promotional contests in professional wrestling history. The angle was set in motion when Mayweather attended No Way Out 2008. After a returning Big Show attacked a vulnerable Rey Mysterio, Mayweather jumped the barrier and stormed to the aid of his friend. Moments later, he was fleeing the ring having bloodied Big Show€™s nose. A €˜Mania showdown was scheduled as a result, which was then made no DQ. More than a mere promotional tactic though, this stipulation proved pivotal to the finish, when Mayweather hit Big Show with brass knuckles. Of course, it seems a little farfetched that The Greatest Fighter in the World would need to use foreign objects to defeat a pro wrestler. But alas, such is life in the WWE.
