Speaking of professional wrestling miracle workers, Christian surely deserves some more attention when it comes to those who were able to drag decent matches out of less than stellar opponents? Ezekiel Jackson follows Godfather on the list of terrible Intercontinental Champions, and by the time he challenged Christian for the WWECW Championship at the 2010 Royal Rumble to call him green would be an understatement.

Still, Christian bumped like an insane human being in an attempt to make Jackson look like a wrestling monolith, and he succeeded. The Canadian was far and away the best WWECW Champion, his reign clocking in at over six months as the brand began to wind down. He would eventually be dethroned by Big Zeke, but not yet.

The beauty of this is that whilst Christian's performance is nothing short of miraculous, Big Zeke more than played his part throughout. The dude was huge after all, but he put the right amount of stank on his strikes to add extra intensity to what could have otherwise been a dreary plod of a match.

Sure, it was mostly clubbing and grinning, but the power moves were timed well and the whole match had a flow that was sorely lacking for the overwhelming majority of Ezekiel Jackson matches (read: every other one of them).

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
