10 Times The Undertaker Sucked At WWE SummerSlam

3. The Undertaker vs. The Undertaker (1994)

At the 1994 Royal Rumble, The Undertaker was defeated in a Casket Match against Yokozuna. Buried by an assortment of heels, the man appeared on the video wall, saying he would return to seek vengeance on those who had wronged him. It would have made sense for 'Taker to target Yoko during his comeback, and he would eventually, but not before engaging in a wholly duff feud. During his absence, Ted DiBiase introduced his own Undertaker. Even with physical similarities, it was clear that this one (played by Brian Lee) was not the original. In storyline, Paul Bearer resurrected the real deal, and both Undertaker's were poised to meet at SummerSlam 1994. Making the scenario worse, Bret Hart and Owen Hart absolutely nailed their Steel Cage match in the co-main event slot. The Undertaker vs. The Undertaker battle couldn't hope to top it, and they didn't. Going less than 10 minutes, the match did little to enthrall the crowd, who seemed relieved when it was over. This was definitely a case of something seeming better on paper than in reality.
