10 Times The WWE Fans Went Off Script

Paul Heyman is, by common consent, the WWE man with his finger on the pulse more firmly than any other - but it seems even he can occasionally misread a crowd.

Last year, in the run-up to his client's Survivor Series match with Goldberg, Heyman began to reproach fans mid-promo for apparently supporting the former WCW star over the 'Beast Incarnate', who had been keeping them entertained for the past four years.

That would have been fine, except that it was plain to anyone with a working pair of ears that the fans were to a large extent behind Brock Lesnar, switching between "Suplex City" and "Goldberg sucks" chants for most of the segment, despite Heyman bizarrely trying to claim otherwise.

Ironically, in their efforts to show their appreciation for Lesnar, they probably annoyed him more than ever before.
