Now here TNA deserves credit for waiting a whole two years before rehashing a WWE storyline. Last year AJ Styles was the subject of much discussion when his TNA contract expired and he announced that he wasn't resigning. Of course reality became fiction when Styles made that very same announcement on Impact. After winning the Bound For Glory Series Styles had a shot at Bully Rays TNA World Title and threatened Dixie Carter that once he won the belt, he was taking it out the door with him. He also took the opportunity to vent out several frustrations with TNA and Carter, and pulled no punches when taking jabs at the boss. Hmm. A non-contracted wrestler cutting a scathing promo on his boss and then winning the World Title and leaving the company? If you weren't watching WWE in the Summer of 2011, then you would have missed a similar (and much better) story with CM Punk. I'm surprised Styles resisted the temptation to sit cross legged the whole time. One thing that TNA deserves immense credit for, is that Styles actually did leave the company for a while. And he defended the TNA Championship on cards in Mexico and Japan. Which is more than can be said for Punk who vowed to go back to ROH and then returned to WWE after only eight days away.
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
