10 Times Triple H Lost At WrestleMania

1. Daniel Bryan - WrestleMania XXX

Crazily, Triple H defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29, in a match he 100% should have been doing the job in. Politics definitely played a role in that result. Going over a five million dollar a year wrestler, in his first year back after being a box-office sensation in UFC? Hunter really damaged Lesnar with that match, and it was only Lesnar's win against The Undertaker a year later which got him back on track. Thankfully, a year after that disaster, Triple H did the right thing at WrestleMania XXX, putting over Daniel Bryan in an absolute masterpiece. The storyline had built naturally for months, paying off in probably the best WrestleMania opener ever. It was the best wrestler in the world at the time versus one of the best of all-time. The audience got twenty five minutes of excellence, and the result was always in doubt. Bryan went over via the his running knee strike (Knee Plus), then went on to win the Championship from Randy Orton and Batista in the main event, completing one of the best 'Mania narratives in history. It all started with Triple H doing what was 'best for business', remember.
