Triple H missed WrestleMania 23 due to injury, but he returned back to the title scene at 'Mania XXIV in a triple threat alongside John Cena and Randy Orton. Granted, this time it was the mid0card, and the World Title bout between Edge and The Undertaker was the main event, but Triple H was still in one of the biggest spots of the show and fighting for the WWE Title. Like his last three showings, it also involved him losing. He did hit a pedigree on Cena and looked set to pin him, when Orton ran in with a punt. Hunter was out cold, and Orton stole the pin on The Game as Cena lay around selling the effects of the match. With only a fourteen minute runtime, and with the heel champion retaining, the match was (disappointingly) forgettable. And, once again, Triple H was a loser at WrestleMania.
