10 Times Triple H Lost At WrestleMania

5. John Cena - WrestleMania 22

For the third year in a row, Triple H did a job in the main event of WrestleMania. His 2006 adversary was John Cena, and Triple H just couldn't resist having a hand in the emerging star's rise. Having made Batista, he now wanted credit for making Cena, too. The truth is that Cena was always going to make it as the franchise star, with or without Hunter doing the high-profile job. The Cenation leader went into the match as champion, which is hardly the most thrilling set up in the world. As a match, it was okay, nothing too special, but it was a pretty huge deal when Triple H tapped out clean to Cena's STFU. Like with Benoit a couple of years earlier, it is the ultimate way to put someone over. As jobs go, a clean tap-out is the biggest a wrestler can do.
