10 Times Triple H Proved He's WWE's Biggest Babyface
7. Giving Old Enemies A Second Chance
You could probably fill a small arena full of former WWE wrestlers and staff who have had bad things to say about Triple H. Many stars have come out in interviews running down The Game's character and backstage demeanour. The likes of Rob Van Dam, Randy Orton, Scott Steiner and Bret Hart have been vocal about him in the past. But as harsh as Van Dam and co. have been, what they said was nothing compared to the way in which Triple H's former DX stablemates Road Dogg and Billy Gunn tore into him during a series of interviews following Gunn's 2005 release. The Outlaws were vicious in their appraisal of Triple H, accusing him of holding them back and getting them fired amongst other things. Gunn and Road Dogg brought their feud to TNA where the duo challenged Vince and Triple H to a shoot fight. Although it may have been a publicity stunt, WWE can't have been amused. Triple H in particular must have been disappointed and maybe even a little hurt by what his former friends had said about him. But, showing that he could be the bigger man and letting bygones be bygones, he got both Road Dogg and Billy Gunn jobs in WWE after they had cleaned up their acts in 2012. Road Dogg works as a road agent and Gunn works as a trainer at the Performance Centre. Other guys would have let them wrestle on the indies until they were in their 60s. But not Triple H.
