10 Times Triple H’s Ego Ran Wild In WWE

4. Stealing Survivor Series

Alarm bells started ringing when Survivor Series 2017's main event started filling up with WWE dads.

The traditional 5-on-5 men's elimination featured three authority figures in Kurt Angle, Triple H, and Shane McMahon, and a host of ageing main eventers. Braun Strowman, at 34 years old, was the youngest participant. Still, they could've built a great match with the right layout, but it was ultimately marred by 'The Game' once again positioning himself at the heart of an important bout.

It boiled down to Hunter, Strowman, and Angle versus Shane. A Triple H/Kurt argument allowed McMahon to sneak back in, but 'The Game' was the difference-maker, Pedigreeing his red brand ally to allow Shane to eliminate him. Then, Triple h pulled another double-cross, pinning Shane to win the match for Raw, before trying to celebrate with a bewildered Braun, who beat the tar out of him after.

The show ended with Strowman standing tall, but Triple H used the match to set up three future storylines for himself (Shane, Kurt, and Braun), only one of which was ever followed up on. This rendered the whole charade pointless.
