10 Times Triple H Was RIDICULOUSLY Selfish At WWE WrestleMania

8. WrestleMania XXVII: An Explanation

With the dubious explanation behind the match made clear, Triple H had much work to do.

He had to wrestle a match to the level of the categorical consecutive classics Shawn Michaels managed with the same opponent, and enter a Match Of The Year-calibre performance with which to warrant his ego trip. In response, he wrestled the sort of match the rest of the roster weren't capable of because they weren't allowed to. Flagrantly contravening the company's concussion policy, Trips, at the height of the match's drama, walloped 'Taker with a crunching chair shot to the face. The full-time roster must have watched the action on the monitor with, at best, a wry smile. Triple H, in no small part, got the match over with a shortcut blockaded to the likes of Trent Barreta and Drew McIntyre. The spot didn't make the match - but the match would not have resonated without the spot. It's no wonder those guys in the back couldn't play The Game. He'd fixed it.

Do as I say, not as I do; at WrestleMania XXVII, Triple H was both the wrestler he said he was and the world's sh*ttiest Daaaadduuuh.
