10 Times Vince McMahon Forgot To Restrain His Ego

9. Mr. McMahon Goes To Hollywood

When Vince McMahon sets his mind to something, he will keep at it, and in the case of cracking Hollywood, it'd be two decades before he'd get there. 1989's Hulk Hogan feature No Holds Barred is widely regarded as a terrible, campy film that, if you believe the rumours, was rewritten by Hogan and McMahon themselves in 72 hours after disliking the original script. While the film debuted at #2 behind Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, it barely broke even, and the WWF would spend the next decade mocking their own venture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Gw7kXHQ1SM In 2002, McMahon founded WWE Films (later, WWE Studios) and they have been putting out a number of films every year that vary in quality, from the highs of The Marine, to the lows of The Marine 2. Over the past few years however, WWE Studios have begun buying the rights to films such as Halle Berry's The Call which has been their most successful film to date, making nearly $70 million at the box office.
