10 Times Vince McMahon HATED What He Was Seeing

7. WrestleMania 33's US Title Match

According to Chris Jericho, his match with Kevin Owens at 'Mania 33 was almost the show's main event. That changed when McMahon altered his plans, booked a Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg rematch, removed the Universal belt from the Y2J vs. KO feud and gave them the United States Title to work with instead.

Jericho and Owens tried their best, but they were up against it.

They were placed second on a 10-match card (fifth on a 13-match card if you count the Kickoff matches) and struggled to keep the huge Orlando crowd invested. When they returned backstage, Vince told KO that the bout sucked, was too slow and didn't do enough to win the fans over. Jericho took that as a personal insult.

The thought of McMahon's furrowed brow tut-tutting at Gorilla whilst the match was in progress is a strange one, not least because he'd been the one who undermined the feud. Jericho couldn't understand why they'd been bumped from top billing to second either. Nobody was happy.
