10 Times Vince McMahon HATED What He Was Seeing

6. WrestleMania VIII's World Title Match

25 years earlier, Vince was in a mood for a different reason.

The meticulously-planned Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage title match at WrestleMania VIII ended up becoming famous for Flair's gusher of a blade job. It happened when Savage came down off the top rope with a double axe handle that sent Ric careening into the steel barricade at ringside. Cue blood. Cue McMahon rage.

Flair was reportedly hit with a hefty fine immediately following the match, and Vince was incensed that they'd secretly added colour to the match despite knowing the WWF had a strict no-blood policy. Somehow, partly because he was so discreet and sly about it, Bret Hart wasn't hit with the same penalty even though he also bladed earlier in the show. "Excellence Of Execution" indeed.

This is something Hart has worn like a badge of honour over the years. He avoided the cameras when he was slicing his forehead. Meanwhile, Ric carved one open as he sold by the barriers, and his bleach blonde hair was caked in the red stuff within seconds. That caused Vince to blow a gasket.
