10 Times Vince McMahon Lost His Damn Mind

Vince McMahon's feud with Shawn Michaels in 2006 had a number of memorable moments. The build to their WrestleMania match was excellent and culminated in a bout that surpassed the expectations of just about everybody watching. Meanwhile, the journey also saw an equally entertaining HBK bout with Shane O'Mac at Saturday Night's Main Event.

While the feud would eventually lead to the return of D-Generation X, the period between WrestleMania and the DX revival presented some questionable booking from the WWE Chairman. With Michaels and Vince continuing their feud post-'Mania, the rivalry soon began to involve additional player, such as The Spirit Squad. Incredibly one of those additions also included God himself, leading to Vince and Shane facing HBK and God at Backlash 2006.

If that sounds insane, it's because it was. The preamble leading up to the PPV even involved Vince professing to be the God of McMahonism. One segment even saw the WWE Chairman enter a church, drink from the font and spit out holy water, ala Triple H.

If there was ever an angle that tempted fate and drew the ire of the man upstairs, this was it. That devout Christian Shawn Michaels ever agreed to the programme is a miracle in itself.
