10 Times Vince McMahon Was Made Somebody's Bitch

10. Hulk Hogan, No Holds Barred Salary

Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon's relationship goes back more than 30 years. Arguably the most successful relationship in sports-entertainment history hit its first obstacle when WWF produced Hogan movie No Holds Barred bombed at the box office. It was Vince's first big move outside the world of pro-wrestling since acquiring the WWF in 1982 and it failed miserably. McMahon became an immediate laughing stock to those in the motion picture industry. When it became obvious that Vince would take a significant loss on the film, he hoped that the egregious $1 million salary promised to Hogan could be renegotiated, but Hogan insisted that he receive his full, unsubsidized salary. Not only was Vince forced to pay up, but he then had to continue to work with his top superstar and promote Hogan as the flagship performer of the WWF. Although Hollywood chewed Vince up and spit him out, it was the future Hollywood Hogan who made Vince succumb in 1989.
