10 Times Vince McMahon Was The World's Strangest Boss

8. They'll Never (Definitely) Work Here Again!

Corporate World: Terminations are unfortunate, but former employees should not be re-hired. Vince World: You've got to eat sh*t and learn to like the taste The saga of Vince and the Ultimate Warrior's on again off again relationship reveals some strange need of Vince's to see his ex-employees crawling back to him, The Ultimate Warrior and Vince had a lot of happy times in the '80s, making piles of money and probably doing deadlifts on top of the money piles. By 1991, Warrior was demanding changes be made to his contract weeks before SummerSlam, which Vince agreed to while calling Warrior a friend. All that friend business disappeared when Vince suspended Warrior after WrestleMania. Then, once Hogan left for Hollywood, Warrior was brought back for WrestleMania VIII, but a failed steroid test would send Warrior back on suspension shortly thereafter. In protest, Warrior walked out, or ran out if he was true to his ring entrance, but then WrestleMania XII saw a returned Warrior only for the painted one to be fired for skipping shows after the event. For years the two were embroiled in legal disputes and Vince even released a smear campaign of a documentary about him, €œThe Self Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior.€ But, Vince could not deny Jim Hellwig had made a lasting impact on the industry and he was duly made a Hall of Fame member in 2014. After his untimely death, they even started giving out "The Warrior Award", to honor a behind-the-scenes employee, who probably actually shows up to work.
