Halloween Havoc 1991's 'Chamber Of Horrors' opener is iconically bad. It was one of those ideas that definitely looked better on paper than it did in execution. That last word is rather fitting though, because WCW decided that their pay-per-view opener should close with someone dying live on air.

Kayfabe dying, but their demise would be heavily implied.

How did they go about this mammoth task? Well, Abdullah The Butcher was strapped to an electric chair and electrocuted as sparks cannoned off the set piece mid-ring and fans...looked around awkwardly wondering how in the name of Cactus Jack they were going to care about Johnny B. Badd vs. Jimmy Garvin after this.

Worse, Abby couldn't even really be bothered to sell the visual passing. He walked out like nothing had happened instead of doing a stretcher job, and that was that. The whole thing turned out to be rather pointless, but it was perhaps the original 'Death Of WCW'.
