This was actually Triple H's second quadriceps tear; the first one was on his left leg, and this, the second one, was on his right leg — the result of a spinebuster on Randy Orton. Almost immediately, both the commentators and the referee realize that something is wrong. But in true, old school fashion, Trips managed to finish the match. 

The injury required surgery, and Triple H was out for over half a year before returning at SummerSlam.
