10 Times Wrestlers Refused To Break Character For The Media
7. Ultimate Warrior - The Arsenio Hall Show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbjNNrO8CeMIf you were going to make a short list of pro wrestlers who'd be a terrible choice for a talk show appearance, Ultimate Warrior would have to rank somewhere between Scott Steiner and the Iron Sheik. Warrior was at best an absent-minded loon and at worst an inarticulate shout-monster. He alternates rapidly between the two poles here, charging around the studio and overturning couches, quietly stalking the host like a velociraptor, and finally approaching normal human behavior by using words.
Predictably, that's when things go downhill. Arsenio makes what is basically a super-extended Warrior promo a million times better by just staring at him like you would a drifter talking to himself on the bus. Bonus points for Arsenio asking Warrior if he's trying to appropriate Native American culture, and Warrior answering by explaining his paint-based telepathy.
Immortal Dialogue: "Those that have made small sacrifices call me UW. But those that have made no sacrifices must call me the Ultimate Woyah."
