10 Times Wrestlers Refused To Break Character For The Media

5. CM Punk - Jimmy Kimmel Live

In his famous pipe bomb promo, CM Punk decried, among other things, that he was never selected to appear on any late night talk shows. It's therefore fitting that after Punk defeated Cena for the WWE championship at MITB 2011, one of the first stops on his media tour was Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Punk didn't interview, though. Instead, the new champ appeared, in character, to menace a six year old John Cena fan named Archie. Punk immediately establishes his heel credibility by calling John Cena "poopy," and repeatedly insisting, "it's not a belt, it's a championship title!" Archie fires back that Punk is small. Things soon degenerate into physical violence, but Punk easily dispatches Archie with an airplane spin.

Hilariously, Archie is able to predict that Cena would regain a version of the WWE title by defeating Rey Mysterio (Archie has nothing to say about the ethical problems inherent in his hero challenging the much-smaller Mysterio only minutes after the latter defeated the Miz).

Immortal Dialogue: "Every time a careless little boy loses a CM Punk action figure, I find out about it."
