10 Times Wrestlers Ignored All Advice

"Take some steroids"? No chance in hell...

"I'll give you the same advice I give my children. Never take advice from anybody".

Those words, said by film director, screenwriter and producer Robert Altman, are worth thinking about the next time somebody tries to give you some "friendly advice". The "friendly" part of that is often a misnomer; despite the harmless intentions, it can land people in hot water if it's subtly dangerous opinion masked as guidance.

Pro wrestlers have to think carefully about the repercussions before they accept advice. Others (and here's where it can get confusing) should've heeded warnings or pleas to change things about a certain match, spot or character trait. Deciding who to trust and who to ignore is a daily challenge for men and women across WWE, AEW and indeed every other company throughout history.

Every single wrestler here dismissed the advice they were given. A few eventually gave in and followed it, but not without a fight, and most disregarded it altogether through their entire careers. Some suggestions are ones you won't believe actually came out of people's mouths.

What's that other saying about opinions being like assholes?
