10 Times Wrestlers No-Sold Killer Moves
9. Braun Strowman No-Sells "Suplex City"
This one is a little bit more understandable, as Braun Strowman is supposed to be considered a "Monster Among Men"; a superhuman giant who is unaffected by the feckless offense of humans. The problem with this, however, is that Brock Lesnar is also supposed to be superhuman. So in theory, it should have balanced out.
Well, it didn't.
In the build-up to their Universal Championship match at 2017's No Mercy PPV, Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman instigated a brawl between the two behemoths on the September 11th edition of Monday Night RAW. The mammoth Strowman initially got the upper-hand on Lesnar, until the latter managed to slip out of a Running Powerslam attempt and turn it into one of his contractually-obligated 6,000 German Suplexes. Strowman sold the offense by... rolling right back up to his feet.
Look, obviously they had to make Strowman seem like a credible threat to Lesnar, but wouldn't it have been better for them to just hold off? Hadn't he already done enough on his own to prove he was a threat? What was the point of no-selling the move here if he went on to sell the move during their actual match?
Even though this most likely wasn't Strowman's call, it's no wonder that Lesnar apparently his biggest fan behind the scenes...
