10 Times Wrestlers Said Something That Bit Them On The Ass

6. Triple H Claims You're Going To Stop Watching

Triple H was a powerful man who absolutely f*cking loved wielding that power and, furthermore, loved that you could not do a bloody thing about it.

Except, you could.

You could simply stop watching WWE, at a rate far more alarming than wider TV trends, creating a gap in the market so large that WarnerMedia entertained the pitch of a start-up promotion to bolster its viewership in defence of the rise of streaming services.

This is precisely what happened, and Triple H dared you to do it.

In July 2014, after WWE Battleground, HHH pretended he was bothered by John Cena wresting the WWE World Heavyweight Title from his Authority faction. Mimicking the marks he hated, unless they were going apesh*t over TakeOver shows that made him look good - "I captivated the guy who captivated 1,000 guys" - Trips said:

"I'm gonna tweet my displeasure. I might even send an Instagram, or a Vine. If I don't get what I want, then I'm gonna riot. And if that doesn't work, then, by God, me and my friend Mark, we're gonna stop watching!"

As part of this bit, Triple H also pretended not to understand young people, which also bit him on the ass, since he was only able to draw fans of Stan Stasiak to NXT on USA Network.
