It's a story more notorious than it is groundbreaking, then-WWE talent Robbie McAllister attending a live TNA broadcast, but its infamy is part of what makes it such a ludicrous tale to tell.

McAllister was dejected. Going nowhere in The Highlanders, Robbie was desperate to get out, however, he didn't envision enjoying his life being the reason - or part of the reason - for his departure. Indeed, he was shown on-camera during the live 27 March 2008 TNA IMPACT, appearing in a desolate state. He knew precisely what was coming when he got back to WWE.

JBL brutalised the Scotsman on the following month's Raw in what was one of a glut of squash matches as punishment for Robbie McAllister having enjoyed Booker T and Robert Roode's First Blood match, and Johnny Devine and Alex Shelley's nine-minute opener.

McAllister has spoken at length about the most noteworthy night of his career, telling JOFO In The Ring (h/t POST Wrestling):-

"No, no [nobody from TNA asked me if I was okay with being shown on TV]. Jeff Jarrett just put me on there and they pulled up what name they could find on the Internet and who I was and I’ve talked to Jeff Jarrett about it and at that time, like I said, I was in a really sh*tty spot mentally, not wanting to be there and you know, it still took six months to get fired from there so I had to stick around, I had to hang out for another six months and do the job every week on dark matches."
