10 Times Wrestlers Shot Themselves Into A Work

One of the most charismatic stars of his generation, Scott Hall sadly struggled to get out of his own way sometimes. Dealing with severe addiction issues by '98, the nWo founding father was showing up to work drunk and, at some points, not showing up at all. The former Razor Ramon's problem was exploited by Eric Bischoff and friends. Instead of sending Hall to rehab to get the help he clearly needed, WCW repackaged The Bad Guy as a disaster-prone drunk.

Starting in September, Hall began to stumble onto TV totally plastered in several uncomfortable segments. Along with making him look dreadful, Hall's boozy antics negatively impacted various stars by association. Worst of all was Kevin Nash's involvement. Viewers sometimes forget these days how popular Big Sexy initially was during the Wolfpac run. Nash's poor, on-screen handling of his liver-damaged buddy did nothing but hinder his cool guy aura. Terrible timing for Big Daddy Cool given he was gearing up for a Starrcade main event with Goldberg.

Eric Bischoff himself has since admitted it was a poor decision that benefitted no one. Worse still, WWE decided to run a few similar segments during Hall's disappointing feud with Steve Austin in 2002.
