10 Times Wrestlers Took Shots At Colleagues
6. AEW Stars Hit Back At Jim Ross' Criticism
Few wrestling personalities hold a candle to the undisputed voice of the industry when it comes to all-round knowledge on the history of this glorious business. However, that doesn't mean that absolutely everything that tumbles out of good ol' J.R.'s mouth is met with an overwhelmingly positive response. Quite the contrary, on some occasions.
In particular, Jim Ross' recent declaration that "everybody does the same fu**ing spot.", when discussing the overuse of dives to the outside, went down rather badly with a number of his current co-workers. J.R. also didn't shy away from his dislike of how the DDT and superkick are utilised in modern day matches.
One AEW star, who remained nameless, responded to these words by saying, "I agree that sometimes things need to be slowed down but that won’t happen when the guy who is supposed to help put us over is going out there and publicly burying us.”
Brandon Cutler also hilariously took a cheeky shot at the AEW announcer's words on Twitter shortly after, quoting Ross' "dive" comments when promoting an upcoming 7-on-7 match on Dynamite.
