10 Times Wrestlers Went Into Business For Themselves In The Ring
3. Sexy Star Injures Rosemary's Arm
Sexy Star was already one of women's wrestling's most controversial figures prior to AAA Triplemania XXV, but her infamy went through the roof after the show.
The former Lucha Underground Champion garnered huge media attention for intentionally injuring one-time TNA Knockouts Champion Rosemary after a four-way match on the show. Star locked her opponent in a shoot armbar after the bell had already rang, pulling Rosemary's shoulder out of its socket.
It was an entirely cowardly move. Rosemary had given her arm up for the submission, and could do nothing to fight back as Star applied unnecessary torque , putting her health at serious risk. She was understandably upset in the aftermath, and made a lengthy Twitter post that calling Star's cowardice out, telling her she had no place in the business, but thanking the AAA and GFW locker-room's for their support.
Star, meanwhile, published a bewildering explanation in which she not only refused to take ownership of her actions, but accused "the North American woman" of lying. A bone-headed move, as Star's crime was caught on camera for all to see, but the wrestling community were fortunately united in decrying her actions - Road Dogg even called for her to be blacklisted from the business.
