10 Times Wrestlers Went Into Business For Themselves In The Ring
2. New Jack... Multiple Times
It's impossible to make a list of wrestlers who went too far in the ring without bringing New Jack's name up. He's one of the most notorious men in wrestling history for good reason, and his career is littered with tales of him taking liberties with opponents.
The Mass Transit Incident remains his most shameful moment. Jack was made to wrestle an untrained 17-year-old in Eric Kulas, and wasn't happy about it. He beat the poor kid within an inch of his life, with Kulas hospitalised immediately after the event, receiving 50 stitches for his wounds.
New Jack was somehow acquitted for aggravated assault charges after the event, but Kulas passed away following complications from gastric bypass surgery five years later. His parents then sued Jack, claiming that their son's death came through depression and an eating disorder brought on by what the ex-ECW wrestler did to him.
Another terrible incident occurred in April 2003, when Jack faced veteran wrestler Gypsy Joe, who refused to sell for 'The Original Gangster.' Jack responded by brutalising Joe with a chain, barbed wire baseball bat, and framed photo, having previously told the promoter he wanted to "kill" Gypsy prior to the bout, begging the question of why it even went ahead in the first place.
