10 Times Wrestlers Went Totally Off Script
5. Sunny Days
It was reported that Bret Hart clocked Shawn Michaels in the face once behind the Monday Night Raw curtain after the conclusion of their June 1997 promo, during which HBK implied that the happily married Hitman had been having "Sunny Days".
We're not sure whether that's completely true, but smoke traditionally following fire, it's probably fair to say that line wasn't in the original script - unless, of course, Hart was being purposely kept out of the loop by WWE bookers (but, really, how likely is that?)
In saying this, Michaels was apparently making public his conviction that Hart was having an affair with Tammy Sytch, aka Sunny, which the Excellence of Execution - quite understandably - feared might cause a rift in his home life.
It is tempting, at first, to admonish the Heartbreak Kid for his child-like petulance, but his intentions were noble. He just wanted to make Mrs Hart aware of an unsubstantiated backstage rumour in front of a global television audience. You know, like a gentleman.
