10 Times Wrestlers Were Broken In The Hard Way
9. The Masked Patriot
In the first few months of any role, it's best not to take the p*ss.
Your elders had to suffer the fright of timidly interacting with senior colleagues, and so should you. They are there because they've put in the hard graft. Listen to their suggestions respectfully. Don't go looting the fridge. Perform a gesture of kindness, like changing the bin bag in the kitchen. Don't pick up the b*stard pool cue an hour and a half into your shift. And, for those budding pro wrestlers amongst you, it is advisable not to act like the experienced hand in there. The experienced hands do not like it.
Learn from the example of the Masked Patriot, a man to whom Koko "B" Ware delivered a harsh lesson on '80s Memphis TV. If the Patriot wasn't there to enhance Koko to begin with, he bloody well was by the end. Patriot took his senior opponent into the corner.
Nope.
The miffed Koko responded with a barrage of enraged slaps, a positively lethal lariat, and some gruesome kicks to the back like he was the lovechild of JBL and Katsuyori Shibata. Echoing the jobber's lack of respect, Koko slapped him in the face as he pinned him. Disturbing and hilarious.
Koko is remembered as an inexplicable member of the WWE Hall of Fame class, but his influence is vast. No less a legend than Stephanie McMahon has paid tribute to the spot, using it to similarly demean the main event talents of WWE.
