10 Times Wrestlers Were Broken In The Hard Way

7. The Public Enemy

Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge were already seasoned veterans by the time they entered the WWF, not that you'd know it from their subsequent run in WCW, in which they were outclassed by the Insane Clown Posse.

They arrived, in the words of the future JBL, "like they owned the place". This was something of a no-no, since Bradshaw would soap his d*ck up even if you entered Titan Towers with yours between your legs. The Public Enemy tandem also wanted to go over, which while somewhat understandable - most new acts do - but rearranging the finish in Gorilla probably wasn't the best way of going about it. Rock and Grunge also weren't keen on being put through a table, so Farooq happened upon an idea. They'd put them through the f*cker whether they liked it or not.

On commentary, Terry Taylor marvelled at how "crisp everything thrown by the Acolytes" was, in a somewhat curious take. Bradshaw wasn't wrestling Johnny Grunge with any gorgeous mat work; he was assaulting him across the spine and elbow with a steel chair. He then blasted him right across the scalp with it. This was a godd*mn massacre - a disturbing lesson that barely masqueraded as a wrestling match.

The Public Enemy didn't last much longer after that, funnily enough.
