10 Times Wrestlers Were Confronted By THEMSELVES!

7. Edge And Christian

Edge and Christian weren't the first people to take on the Los Conquistadores mantle, with José Estrada Sr. and José Luis Rivera first using that gimmick in the World Wrestling Federation in 1987. E&C did popularise the swanky gold body suits for a new generation, though, when they started donning that shtick 13 years later.

Rendered unable to challenge for the Tag Team Championships held by the Hardy Boyz, this Canadian duo had the idea of performing as Los Conquistadores in the hope that nobody would realise who was under the masks.

This rejuvenated Los Conquistadores managed to topple the Hardyz for the belts, and they were then seen congratulated backstage by Edge and Christian - before then soon losing the straps to E&C!

To the watching audience and to the gullible babyfaces of the day, it was unfathomable for Los Conquistadors and Edge and Christian to be seen together, for both tandems were meant to be one and the same.

In actuality, the talent working as Los Conquistadors when seen opposite Edge and Christian were Christopher Daniels and Aaron Aguilera. That was until Matt and Jeff Hardy pulled a similar play to their rivals, putting on the gold duds to win the Tag Team Titles back from Edge and Christian.
