10 Times Wrestlers Were Confronted By THEMSELVES!

8. Sin Cara

It may sound a little hyperbolic these days, but Sin Cara was one of the most hyped signings WWE has made in recent memory.

When Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde signed with WWE in February 2011, it was a major coup for the promotion. As in, certain amongst WWE brass felt that they had the nailed-on, money-drawing, sympathy-garnering masked babyface who was the second coming of Rey Mysterio Jr.

Giving the former Místico the new moniker of Sin Cara, this signee was introduced to WWE fans with his very own press conference. Unfortunately for this one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, his WWE career just never got going. Injuries and reported attitude problems meant that he was quietly let go by WWE in March 2014 - with even the aforementioned Mysterio publicly questioning Alvirde's attitude in the years since.

What the original Sin Cara is best remembered for, though, is facing off against his own doppelganger. The former Hunico took on the Sin Cara gimmick during his predecessor's 30-day suspension, with this leading to a rivalry and Mask vs. Mask match upon the Alvirde's return to action.

The original Sin Cara would win out in that battle... but Hunico, aka Jose Rodriguez, would take on the entire gimmick permanently upon the original Cara being terminated by WWE.
