3. Ricky Starks (AEW)
As previously mentioned, All Elite Wrestling's TNT division provides opportunities to those independent talents who want to prove their worth on the big stage of national television. Ricky Starks was one of the many men who came knocking. He's still young, flashy, talented in the ring and on the mic, plus he has just the right amount of arrogance to back it up. He's the perfect young star for AEW to begin moulding and developing, so in a few years, he can begin to carry their main event division.
Starks was just the third challenger for Cody's title, but he certainly set the benchmark for any future challenger to live up to. It was eight and a half minutes of pure wrestling fun, back and forth the two went and at one point it actually looked like Starks could achieve the upset. Tony Khan and his elite pals saw the potential and immediately signed him. He was no longer the hottest free agent in wrestling, but the hottest young star in AEW.
He was instantly placed into a major program with both Taz and Brian Cage. The group have great chemistry, and being under the tutelage of two accomplished veterans of the industry will prove highly beneficial for Starks. It appears that there are going to be big things in store for the 'Absolute' Ricky Starks.
