In May of 2012, TNA was super pumped to announce that they’d signed King Mo to a contract. Everyone else said "Who?" Well, Mo was going to be the first MMA and wrestling competitor ever! Don't you get it?

The plan was for him to be a full-time act on Impact once he finished training in OVW. It sounded like a good plan, except that he never actually wrestled for TNA, and now Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar have done the whole MMA/wrestling thing before him.

Much like Ken Shamrock was needed to keep the peace between Bret Hart and Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13, Mo was brought in to officiate James Storm vs. Bobby Roode at Bound for Glory. And then, he disappeared for two years. He made his grand, random return by beating up some former ECW dudes and turned heel by joining Dixie Carter. Then he disappeared again, never to return.

Money well spent TNA!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
