2. The Draft Serves Up Brand Exclusivity

Well, industry critics and fans like guessed this would happen. WWE has already stepped all over their own brand rules for the 2023 Draft mere weeks after it happened. They make a habit of this, but still enjoy pretending that wrestlers drafted to each show are exclusive.

They most certainly are not.

This "brand exclusivity" thing Triple H spoke about is b*llocks. WWE crafted an out for themselves overnight by dreaming up the free agency pool, and numerous champions can appear on both Raw and SmackDown as they please whilst holding a belt. There's nothing particularly exclusive about any of that!

At this point, the Draft is WWE's excuse to promote a few "special" episodes of TV, then do whatever the hell they fancied doing anyway. The fact they haven't even bothered to clean up the mess created by switching respective female champs Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair over to opposite shows says it all.
