For the last several years, many a wrestling fan has lambasted the WWE product as being one in need of a major shake-up.

Still, when WWE publicly agreed with this assessment on the 17 December 2018 edition of WWE Raw, it was a little surprising to see. Not just that, but Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon and Triple H were all front-and-centre for this rather frank admittance that the product had been garbage.

It was Stephanie who stated, "We haven't been doing a very good job for you lately" - adding how they were finally going to start listening to the voice of the fans for both Raw and SmackDown.

Apologising for their collective shortcomings, the promise was that wrestlers would be empowered and fans would get what they'd long asked for, as the top of the WWE food chain then labelled the WWE Universe as the new 'Authority' of the company.

The big shame, of course, is that WWE hasn't exactly stuck to its promise all that much in the time since delivering this grovelling segment over two years ago.
